4 stars! -We absolutely loved it and left feeling we had made great friends with the lovely Tanya and David. We are an Anglo-Italian family living in Rome and spent 6 nights at Campogrande. It is a newly renovated B & B and we stayed in the Oak Room which has two separate rooms, one with bunkbeds which made it a very happy stay for our kids. The decor is modern with white rooms and the beds super comfortable. We could not wait for breakfast every morning, Tanya and David would come upstairs with coffee and hot chocolate, and as it was summer we ate out on the terrace which looks over the land with fruit trees, and we loved the home cooking of delicious cake and frittata and yoghurt with fruit, all home grown produce, we loved their olive oil too! Campogrande is very close to the town, and lots of other places nearby to discover. Tanya and David are very friendly, they have created a wonderful place to stay and we will stay friends and we hope to come back again.

The property is an old house that was completely renovated; it combines the charm of old houses with the convenience of a fresh, new interior. The furniture has been specially chosen, simple yet sophisticated, creating an atmosphere of functionality and elegance. It is clear careful attention to detail, nothing is left to chance. All this creates for an ideal setting for relaxing after a hard day of travel or sightseeing. It also has a terrace overlooking the olive grove. In fact, the owners’ produce their own extra virgin olive oil which is also sold on the premises. Campogrande is located near the road leading from Città della Pieve to Monteleone di Orvieto, however, it is not affected by the road traffic noise, which is very low. The owners are Scots who have not been able to resist the allure of the Umbrian countryside. We are now well set, the proof is a perfect Italian style breakfast, complete with home made cake, pancakes, croissant and coffee! The great hospitality of the family completes the setting for a comfortable stay to remember.

Very comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated in rustic Italian style and over-looking the olive grove. Set in a very beautiful part of Umbria. Fabulous breakfasts consisting of home-grown/home-made produce! 4 Stars!

Had a wonderful holiday at www.campograndeitalia.com. The breakfasts were amazing, the hosts, David and Tanya were very friendly and helpful. David was very good at making cakes-yum! The views were wonderful. We had a wheelchair friendly suite, so I was truly able to access everything. I hope you will try it too!

The atmosphere is very welcoming with David and Tania; the owners are very friendly and nice. The two rooms on the 1st floor are simple and spacious with views over the surrounding countryside. The Olive Room is very bright and has access to a large terrace where you can take the sun. There is also a third bedroom on the ground floor with independent access. Breakfast is abundant, both sweet and savoury-with home made bread, jam, and cake. As well as coffee, yogurt with cereal. The position, is 2 Km from Città della Pieve, which is ideal for quickly reaching the Val d'Orcia, the area around Lake Trasimeno. The only very small negative things are that there are no curtains upstairs. Overall we were all very happy.
